Terms of use and sale

Last updated 27 September 2026

These terms govern your use of the Kampala Parents Legacy Portal (thekposa.com), operated by the Kampala Parents’ Old Students’ Association (“KPOSA”, “we”, “us”), and any purchase, preorder, or event registration made through it. By using the site you agree to these terms.

Alumni registration

Registration is open to former students of Kampala Parents’ School. You confirm that the school history you submit is accurate to the best of your knowledge — the alumni office verifies it before your registration is approved, and we may decline or revoke registration where school history cannot be verified or was submitted in bad faith.

Pricing and currency

Prices are shown in Ugandan Shillings (UGX); a US Dollar price is shown for diaspora buyers where applicable. Prices may change without notice, but the price shown at the time you place an order is the price you pay. Tax is not currently added at checkout.

Preorders

Some items, including the founder biography, are sold as preorders before they exist in finished form. Placing a preorder confirms your interest in buying the item once it becomes available — it does not guarantee a delivery date, and cover art, format, and production details may change before release. See the founder biography preorder terms for the specific terms that apply to that title.

Payment

Payments are processed by our payment partner, Pesapal, and may be made by MTN Mobile Money, Airtel Money, Visa, or Mastercard. Mobile money confirmation is not always instant — an order is not treated as paid until the payment provider confirms it. KPOSA does not receive or store your mobile money PIN or full card number.

Delivery and collection

Physical items may be collected in Kampala or delivered within Uganda or internationally where offered at checkout. Delivery timeframes and costs are shown before you pay. Digital items (such as the e-book edition) are delivered by a link sent to the contact details you provide at checkout, and access may expire after a limited number of uses.

Cancellations and refunds

  • You may cancel an unpaid order at any time before payment is confirmed.
  • Once an order is paid, contact thekposa@gmail.com and we will consider a refund or exchange — physical goods received in a defective or incorrect condition will be replaced or refunded.
  • Preorders may be cancelled and refunded any time before the item ships or the digital download link is issued.
  • Digital downloads cannot be refunded once the download link has been issued, except where the file is defective.

Event tickets

Ticket terms (refundability, transferability, capacity limits) are shown on each event’s page at the time of registration and form part of these terms for that event.

Intellectual property

The KPOSA name, crest, and site content belong to the association or its licensors. Digital purchases (such as the e-book) are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use only and may not be redistributed or resold.

Acceptable use

Do not use the site to submit false school history, attempt to access accounts that are not yours, or interfere with the site’s operation. We may suspend or terminate access for misuse.

Liability

The site is provided as-is. To the extent permitted by Ugandan law, KPOSA is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Uganda.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time; the date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. See also our privacy policy and cookie policy.
